Excerpt display of notices and announcements allows your viewer to see the beginning few sentences of each article.  This is helpful if you have a number of announcements/notices and you want to make sure that your residents see as much as possible with the least amount of scroll.  The view is directed to button that you can customize for them to finish reading the rest of the article.
